1:1 sessions for people building creative lives

“There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique, and if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium; and be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, not how it compares with other expression. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.”

—Martha Graham

What is a 1:1 session useful for?

Simply put: this is where you have space to most directly meet your own depths.

When we work one-on-one, I listen to your current situation:

  • your creative longings or doubts

  • your physical aches and pains

  • your life circumstances

…and design a specific practice that meets you exactly where you are — and facilitates your next transformation.

My background is in gentle and restorative yoga, Buddhist philosophy, and teaching Entering the Cave: Sacred Practice for Artists -- a series around moving through creative blocks with embodied shadow work.

I particularly love working with artists, entrepreneurs, teachers, caregivers, and seekers of all sorts who want to navigate by the soul's inner compass.

Sessions allow you to meet yourself deeply in mind, body, and heart, and are a practice space where you’ll find yourself

  • connecting dots you hadn't known how to connect

  • dissolving long-held barriers

  • and opening to new possibilities.

What will we actually do?

We’ll always begin with a grounding and a check-in. I’ll offer some mindfulness meditation to help you connect with deeper layers of yourself, and then we’ll talk — about what’s bringing you, what’s flowing in your creative life right now, and what’s feeling stuck.

Our work together could look more like yoga (in other words, mostly a practice of movement and restorative poses and meditation) — or more like Entering the Cave (in other words, aimed at opening creative channels through visualization, discussion, journaling, and ritual). Or perhaps it will interweave.

Each session will be custom-fit to your current needs.

Because mind / body / heart are indelibly connected, we may utilize a physical yoga practice (movement or restorative poses in stillness) to shift patterns of stuckness or tension you carry in your body. This will often open profound access to emotions or thoughts that have also been stuck or tense.

We may work with guided visualizations and facilitated discussion, to interview deeper layers of your inner knowing or subconscious.

We might co-create a ritual or artistic prompt to shift a pattern you’re discovering. And we may co-create a mantra or journal practice for you to take home and incorporate into your routine.

What does it mean to “co-create”?

I use this language of co-creation because a 1:1 session is a potent collaboration. Working with me is not passive, like getting a massage — though there will certainly be opportunities for you to sink into completely receiving and being nurtured — but you’ll also be bringing your inner experiences (the thoughts, questions, and insights that are arising in you in real time) into our shared laboratory, where I’ll help you listen more deeply to your own wisest voices.

You’ll truly be experiencing a practice that’s uniquely yours.

This is the kind of practice where you meet your next edge — and dissolve it.

This is the kind of practice that changes your life, if you let it.

How does it work?

The first step is to schedule a free 30-minute intake call.

We’ll talk through what’s drawing you to this session at this time, and you’ll have a chance to share more about your current situation and what you’re looking for.

I’ll share some ideas about the types of practices that might be a good fit, and we’ll decide together whether trying out a 1:1 session feels aligned for you.

Or, if you already know my work and are sure you just want to schedule a session? Feel free to reach out and we can skip the intake and just book a time to meet.
